José Augusto Alegria Prize

An international music contest for young musicians organised by Évora Music Association (Eboræ Mvsica). The 2026 edition includes categories for Song and Trumpet with multiple stages (first round, semi-final, final) and a prize-winners' concert. Repertoire requirements, age categories and detailed rules are set for each category and stage.

All eliminated entrants receive a participation certificate; all prize-winners receive a certificate and a prize (unspecified) and must perform at the prize-winners' concert.

Music students and young professional musicians beginning their careers; Song entrants must be at least 18 and not over 32 on 2026-08-01. Trumpet entrants are divided by levels with age limits (Level 1: aged 15 or less on 2026-08-01; Level 2: aged 18 or less on 2026-08-01; Level 3: aged 25 or less on 2026-08-01).

Sign the entry form and attend the lottery at Convento dos Remédios in Évora (Trumpet 17 July 2026 8:30am; Song 17 July 2026 9:00am); entrants unable to attend may be represented by an accredited representative.
