Sovereign Art Foundation Portugal 2026

Information

A national art competition for secondary school students in Portugal (2025/2026 academic year). Students are nominated by their teachers and submit one artwork online. A panel of judges will shortlist 30 student artists and winners are decided by judges and a public vote, with shortlisted artists featured in a finalists exhibition.

Benefits

Judges Prize: €500 to the student and €1,500 to the student's school. Public Vote Prize: €300 to the student and €800 to the student's school. Shortlist of 30 student artists and exhibition for finalists.

Eligibility

Open to all students enrolled in secondary school in Portugal for the 2025/2026 academic year, aged 11-18 at the time of entry. Students must be nominated by their teacher.

Application

Teachers nominate up to 10 students; nominated students submit one artwork online before the submission deadline and must record their nominating teacher's name.
