Premio Guillermo Cortés Melo de Urbanismo y Arquitectura Contemporánea 2026

A national academic architecture and urbanism ideas competition focused on housing for 21st-century Mexican cities. It is aimed at students and young professionals to reflect on and propose new habitat models addressing urban, social and environmental challenges in Mexico. Proposals must integrate sustainability, social equity, project innovation and a systemic view of habitat including housing, public space, equipment and mobility. The competition includes local and national award ceremonies in 2026.

Open to students, young professionals, faculty and researchers in architecture, urbanism and related disciplines from Mexico.

Register by 2026-04-01 and submit proposals virtually by 2026-06-23; evaluation in July 2026 with local and national award ceremonies on 2026-08-15 and 2026-10-15.
