About this opportunity
The ASMEA Travel Grant Program provides funds primarily to Ph.D. students, post-doctoral researchers, and junior faculty studying the Middle East or Africa who are interested in presenting research at the Annual ASMEA Conference. Grants of $500 to $750 will be awarded and may be used to cover expenses associated with attending the conference in Washington, D.C. Applications require an original paper proposal and one letter of reference, and are submitted via the ASMEA website.

Eligibility
Applicants must be current members of ASMEA and engaged in ongoing study of the Middle East or Africa; applicants must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program (with M.A. complete), or serve in a post-doc capacity, or serve as a visiting/assistant/associate/full professor teaching two or more courses per semester at an accredited institution. Applicants may be affiliated with any academic discipline.
