Mexican Government Scholarship

The Mexican Government Scholarship (Beca del Gobierno de México) is an official academic grant for international students offered by the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE). It supports undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and research studies at participating Mexican public universities. The program aims to promote academic and cultural exchange with eligible foreign nationals and prioritises programs linked to Mexico’s national development goals. The scholarship is described as fully funded, covering tuition, a living allowance, visa, airfare, and health insurance.

100% tuition coverage; monthly living stipend; round-trip airfare; full medical insurance; visa fee waiver; Spanish language support and cultural/academic integration activities.

Available to foreign students from selected countries that maintain diplomatic and educational cooperation with Mexico; applicants must meet academic, health and documentation requirements and typically need a letter of acceptance from a participating Mexican university and appropriate Spanish proficiency.

Centralised online application via the AMEXCID scholarship portal: register, complete the application form, select program and university, and upload required documents (transcripts, degrees, passport, motivation letter, recommendation letters, medical certificate, acceptance letter).
