About this opportunity
UCLA Engineering Design is a 3-week experiential precollege summer program introducing participants to engineering design through hands-on projects such as mobile robots, microcontroller systems, rockets, rovers, and Go-Karts. The program includes teamwork, technical presentations, project reports, and supervised instruction from UCLA faculty and trained undergraduate mentors. Tracks vary by instructor and culminate in final presentations and competitions. Participants also examine engineering majors offered at UCLA and explore engineering careers.

Eligibility
The Summer Precollege Engineering Design program is introductory with no previous experience required and is aimed at high school students.
How to apply
Apply via the UCLA Summer Sessions online registration/portal; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis starting February 18 and applicants who submit all requirements will be notified of a decision within three weeks.
