Society for the Neurobiology of Language Worldwide 2026

Information

The SNL Early Career Award recognizes researchers whose scientific work and academic citizenship exemplify the Society for the Neurobiology of Language. One award is given each year and the recipient is selected from nominations put forward by the membership. The winner receives a monetary prize and is invited to present their work at the SNL Annual Meeting. Nominations are reviewed by an Award Committee and the recipient is announced after the nomination deadline.

Benefits

Prize of $1,000 and an invitation to deliver a presentation at the SNL Annual Meeting.

Eligibility

Applicants must conduct research into the neurobiology of language and have no more than 10 years of active research/teaching experience following completion of their PhD (career interruptions not counted). Nominations must be made by a current SNL member; self-nominations are welcome.

Application

Nominations submitted by a current SNL member via the society nomination form; nominations should include a CV, a short (500 word) description of the nominee’s contributions, and two letters of recommendation (each up to 2 pages).
