Information

The Onsager Fellowship Programme at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology recruits early-career scholars to strengthen the university’s academic community. It targets researchers with documented excellent supervised work who are ready to work independently and to develop into research leaders. Appointments are tenure-track associate professor positions involving research, supervision, teaching and other duties with a path to a permanent professorship. The position includes a start-up package, mentorship and support for applying for additional funds.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a PhD (awarded no more than 5 years prior to the application deadline, excluding legally entitled leave) and demonstrate documented international scholarly achievements, ability to work independently, and relevant basic competence in university teaching and supervision.
