A multidisciplinary WE-Heraeus seminar on the identification, analysis and prediction of extreme events, covering theoretical and statistical methods as well as experiments across fields such as climate science, ecology and neuroscience. The meeting brings together senior scientists, early-career researchers and PhD students to present talks and posters and discuss cutting-edge approaches from nonlinear dynamics, network theory and data analysis. The seminar language is English. The Wilhelm and Else Heraeus-Foundation covers the cost of full-board accommodation for all participants.
