University of Malaya (UM) Bright Scholarship

The UM Bright Scholarship is a full scholarship for pursuing a PhD in research mode at Universiti Malaya, awarded to international students as well as Malaysian citizens. It provides a stipend and a tuition fee waiver for the duration of the PhD studies, with certain costs such as insurance, visas, flight tickets, medical examinations and accommodation not covered. The program aims to attract talented individuals to conduct doctoral research at UM in various fields including engineering, AI, and related areas.

Age should not exceed 30 years at the time of application. A Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA >3.70 (or equivalent) and Master’s degree by research or mixed mode with honors and CGPA at least 3.70/4.00; English proficiency requirements apply (IELTS, TOEFL, CEFR).
