About this opportunity

The Irish Aid Courtney Fellowship is a funded postgraduate opportunity for Burundian nationals to pursue an Irish master’s programme, with the aim of nurturing future leaders and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. The 2027/2028 edition supports study in Ireland, starting in the 2027/2028 academic year. Applicants are evaluated on leadership potential, alignment with SDGs, and commitment to Ireland relations.

Eligibility

Be a resident national of Burundi; hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale); have at least three years of relevant work experience; not currently hold a master’s level qualification; be applying to commence a new master’s programme in Ireland no earlier than August 2027; demonstrate leadership and commitment to SDGs and positive relations with Ireland.
