The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) Climate-Agricultural Reporting Training 2026

The CJID Climate-Agricultural Reporting Training 2026 is a two-day virtual training and story lab for journalists, editors, and civil society communicators focused on climate–agriculture reporting. The program aims to strengthen data-driven, investigative, and solutions-oriented reporting on the intersection of climate change and agriculture, with mentorship, editorial support, and access to a network and potential commissioning grants for selected stories.

Participation in a two-day intensive climate–agriculture reporting training; mentorship from experts in investigative journalism; editorial support to refine and publish stories; commissioning grants for selected reports; access to CJID’s Climate–Agriculture Reporting Network.

Applicants must be based in Nigeria, work with a credible media platform with national or sub-regional reach, and demonstrate experience in investigative, accountability, and data journalism with an interest in agriculture, climate, or development reporting.

Submit a climate–agriculture story pitch using the CJID pitch template and complete the official application form; joint applications are allowed and newsroom submissions should go through an editor.
