About this opportunity

The African Youth Ambassadors for Peace (AYAP) is a program initiated by the African Union to appoint young Africans as ambassadors to advocate for peace and security on the continent. AYAPs are elected for a two-year non-renewable tenure and work with the AU Youth Envoy to promote youth participation in peace and security, including advocacy and programmatic actions. Applicants must submit a CV, a short essay detailing qualifications and impact, and supporting certificates through the application process.

Eligibility

Open to African youth aged 18-35, with a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in peace and security or related advocacy, who demonstrate commitment and contribution to peace and security on the continent.
