About this opportunity

The One World Media Global Health Film Grant funds an experienced filmmaker to produce a short documentary about health in the global south. The grant supports projects that explore systemic barriers to care, and may cover research, treatment advances, or emerging health threats, with a focus on solution-oriented reporting. The grant is offered in collaboration with the Pulitzer Center and the Financial Times, and the selected grantee participates in the 2025 OWM Fellowship, receiving production support, mentorship, and additional benefits.

Benefits & funding

Up to £20,000 funding for the film, industry mentoring, production support, a commission from the Financial Times, fellowship benefits from One World Media including workshops and peer support, global promotion and screenings, and alumni network membership.

Eligibility

Open to storytellers from the global south who are working in the global south.
