About this opportunity
The Open Society Fellowship supports heterodox thinkers and practitioners from around the world. It aims to elevate new voices to participate in global conversations on issues such as human rights, social justice, climate, and inequality. Four fellowships are granted in each of seven cities, for a total of 28 fellowships, with a one-year term and potential extension.
Benefits & funding
Living stipend for one year ($100,000), up to $20,000 for project expenses, and support to attend related events; potential extension for an additional year.
Eligibility
Fellows may be academics, journalists, documentarians, think-tank experts, playwrights, poets, architects, urban planners, novelists, visual artists, cultural entrepreneurs, or practitioners in other fields.
