Information

The Harvard Environmental Fellows Program is a two-year postdoctoral fellowship hosted by the Harvard University Center for the Environment that supports innovative research addressing environmental challenges. Fellows work with a Harvard faculty member across any school or department and may pursue interdisciplinary projects spanning scientific, social, economic, technological or policy dimensions. The program provides access to Harvard's academic and research facilities and integrates fellows into Harvard's academic community. Fellows are expected to begin reporting to their host faculty in July 2027.

Eligibility

Open to applicants of all nationalities who have received a doctorate or equivalent terminal degree (PhD) granted from May 2023 to August 2027 or who are expected to receive it within that period. Applicants must propose an environmental research project, be able to secure a Harvard faculty member willing to host them, include letters of recommendation, and be fluent in English.
