About this opportunity
The IDC Green Tourism Incentive Programme (GTIP) is a resource efficiency incentive programme that supports private sector tourism enterprises in adopting energy and water efficient solutions. It is managed by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) on behalf of the Department of Tourism and provides grant funding to qualifying tourism establishments to reduce investment costs in efficiency projects, with potential cost savings after a payback period.
Benefits & funding
Grant funding for resource efficiency interventions, potential full cost coverage for a resource efficiency audit or for reviewing an audit; projects may be implemented in phases over a two-year period.
Eligibility
Be an existing or a new privately-owned tourism-specific establishment (accommodation, facilities or attractions) that serve tourists directly; suppliers and intermediaries are not eligible.
