The Santa Fe Institute Complex Systems Summer School Journalism Fellowship 2026 provides two accomplished journalists with a residential, immersive experience to explore complex-systems science. Fellows participate in SFI’s Complex Systems Summer School, with lectures and labs taught by world-renowned faculty, followed by a self-directed week at SFI’s main campus to interact with scientists.

Eligibility

Open to national and international journalists. Must have at least seven years of experience, familiarity with complexity science, and a clear articulation of how the Fellowship will advance reporting.
