Luce Scholars Program in Asia

The Luce Scholars Program is a 12-month leadership development experience for young Americans with limited exposure to Asia. It combines language training, cultural immersion, and a full-time professional placement aligned with the Scholar’s interests, providing a structured year abroad in Asia.

Monthly living stipend (varies by placement), round-trip airfare to Asia, two months of language training, health insurance, travel to program meetings, discretionary funds, and funding for continued language learning during the year.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, be graduating seniors, recent graduates, or young professionals under 33 at departure, and have at least a bachelor’s degree before the start of the Program.

Submit an eligibility questionnaire, then provide Personal & Background Information, Academic and Professional Information, personal statement, short-answer questions, video response, recommendations, and transcripts if applicable.
