Information

The Elinor Ostrom Fellowship is a one-year, competitive fellowship program awarded to PhD students from any university and any discipline. Fellows participate in colloquia focusing on markets, culture, morality, and sociality within the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy and join a network of Mercatus scholars. The total award is up to $7,000 and includes a stipend, required readings, and travel and lodging to attend colloquia.

Eligibility

Open to students enrolled in an accredited PhD program in the upcoming academic year who can commit to traveling for three colloquia weekends during the year and have research or teaching interests in markets, culture, morality, and sociality.

Application

Complete the online application with a 1-2 page cover letter, resume/CV, and short answer questions; include details of graduate school career, research interests, and how the themes would benefit from exposure to the specified schools of political economy.
