The University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars (UMAPS) Program offers a fully funded five-month research residency at the University of Michigan for early-career academics from African universities. Scholars work with a faculty partner and have access to University resources, with benefits including housing, travel, a research allowance, a stipend, and office space to develop their projects and engage with the university community.

Eligibility
