The Art Exchange: Moving Image Programme is a collaborative curatorial development programme for early to mid-career visual arts curators from Sub-Saharan Africa who engage with moving image. It combines mentorship, skills development, and curatorial experimentation across African and UK contexts, offering networking opportunities, access to a public art collection, and a fully funded research trip to the UK, culminating in a final exhibition in participants’ home countries.

Eligibility

Applicants must be 18+, based in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda or Zimbabwe; not enrolled in full- or part-time formal education; an early to mid-career visual arts curator; proficient in English; have an interest in working with moving image; currently hold a valid passport (until at least 30 November 2026) and be available to travel to the UK in May 2026.
