PhD Position in Modelling Plant-Microbe Interactions, Netherlands

Maastricht University is offering a PhD position in modelling plant–microbe interactions for the 2026/2027 academic session. The PhD is a salary-based doctoral appointment hosted by the university's faculties and research institutes, with an emphasis on computational modelling in an international and interdisciplinary setting. The position includes a structured PhD program and the possibility of an extension based on performance.

Salary-based doctoral appointment with a monthly gross salary, holiday allowance and year-end bonus, paid vacation days, travel and other allowances, pension, and access to university facilities and development opportunities.

Eligible countries: applicants from all countries. Must hold a Master’s degree in computational biology, systems biology, bioinformatics, or a closely related field, with an interest in plant–microbe interactions and modelling.
