Lumley Top-Up Scholarships in Australia

The Kathleen Lumley Foundation, in partnership with the University of Adelaide, offers a scholarship for 2026 doctoral entrants. It is available to postgraduate PhD students enrolled at a recognised university in Adelaide and aims to support research and living expenses, with opportunities for network access and symposium participation. The award is intended for students across disciplines who meet the foundation's criteria and demonstrate strong academic records.

Access to the Lumley Scholars network, opportunities to present at the Annual Research Symposium, and coverage of living expenses, research materials, travel, conferences, and self-care costs.

Applicants must hold a primary PhD scholarship awarded through an open and competitive process and be enrolled full-time in a PhD at the University of Adelaide (or commencing within 12 months). The research topic should align with UN Sustainable Development Goals and have potential for systemic impact on health access and welfare; residence should be primarily in South Australia during studies.
