Information

The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) offers a full-time, paid internship in its Education Department for spring 2026. The program involves working with K–12 students, teachers, volunteers, and live estuarine animals at SERC’s Chesapeake Bay campus, with responsibilities including leading field trips, supporting teacher professional development, and completing an independent project. Interns gain exposure to public engagement, participatory science, and science communication.

Eligibility
