UNITAR Youth Leaders for World Tsunami Awareness Day 2026 Online Course

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) offers a four-week online course for young people in the Asia-Pacific region on disaster risk reduction, preparedness, climate resilience, and sustainable development. The course is delivered online in English and leads to an official UNITAR Certificate of Participation upon successful completion. It brings together youth leaders from 14 Asia-Pacific countries to learn from disaster experts and engage with peers across the region.

Applicants must be between 14 and 25 years of age, be a national of or reside in one of the participating countries, have an interest in disaster risk reduction or related fields, be able to participate in English, and commit approximately 1–2 hours per week during the programme.
