National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCR) 6+ SSH Call 2026

The Swiss National Science Foundation has opened applications for the National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCR) 6+ Social Sciences and Humanities Call 2026. The programme funds long-term interdisciplinary research centres addressing strategic issues in the social sciences and humanities. It emphasises multi-university collaboration, capacity building, and impactful research within Switzerland.

Supports the creation of long-term research centres, doctoral and postgraduate training opportunities, academic networking, institutional capacity building, knowledge transfer and sustainable research infrastructures.

Applications are open to researchers in Social Sciences and Humanities, including interdisciplinary teams with an SSH focus, and new as well as returning applicants.

Submit outline proposals by 20 October 2026, followed by full proposals by 20 May 2027; final funding decisions expected by end of 2027; information sessions are offered.
