The Sierra Ride Electric Vehicle Initiative 2026 is a pilot programme organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in Sierra Leone, in collaboration with UNDP, to introduce electric vehicles into Sierra Leone’s transport sector. The programme targets young Sierra Leoneans and offers training on electric vehicle technology, access to electric vehicles, and entry into the green transport economy.

Eligibility
Applicants must be 21-35 years old, have at least 3 years of driving experience, hold a valid driver’s licence, have a clean driving record, completed Senior Secondary Education, provide a Police Clearance Certificate, and show willingness to undergo EV technology training.
