Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) 2026 Call for Proposals

The CFLI Call for Proposals is a grant program administered by Canadian embassies and high commissions to support locally driven development projects in West Africa. It targets grassroots organizations and local actors in Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Togo, funding small-scale, high-impact initiatives aligned with Canada’s international development priorities. Eligible applicants must be legally registered in one of the eligible countries and demonstrate capacity, community involvement, and a clear budget and timeline.

Financial support for project implementation; increased visibility; opportunities to scale; strengthened institutional capacity; access to international development networks.

Be legally registered in Ghana, Sierra Leone, or Togo; have a clear project proposal aligned with CFLI priorities; demonstrate financial accountability and project management capacity; show evidence of community involvement and sustainability; provide a realistic budget and timeline.

Submit a detailed project proposal to the Canadian embassy or high commission responsible for the country.
