About this opportunity
The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA), in partnership with the University of the Western Cape (UWC), offers a 12-month, full-time Museum Fellowship Programme running from February 2027 to January 2028 in Cape Town, combining practical museum experience with academic coursework and culminating in a BA Honours degree from UWC. Fellows gain exposure to departments such as curatorial practice, exhibition design, registrar & collection management, art education, and institutional advancement, with hands-on involvement in exhibitions, research, public programming, and publishing initiatives.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in art, heritage, museum studies, or a related humanities field (or equivalent experience), have knowledge of contemporary African art and heritage, 2–3 years of relevant work experience, strong writing and public speaking skills, English proficiency, and be a citizen of an African country.
