The Thomson Young Journalist Award 2026 is a competition for journalists aged 30 and under from eligible countries to submit their best stories. Finalists are invited to London to attend the Foreign Press Association Media Awards and receive a bespoke training session to enhance reporting skills and professional networks.

Eligibility
Applicants must be 30 or under on 30 November 2026, from or reporting in a country with a GNI per capita of USD 20,000 or less, and must submit three pieces produced in the 12 months before 9 August 2026 along with a verification letter from an editor.
