Journalismfund Europe Professional Development Grants

The Journalismfund Europe Professional Development Grants provide funding to organizations to support environmental investigative reporting through training, mentorship, and related activities. Eligible projects include workshops, coaching programs, fellowships, and other professional development initiatives focused on environmental investigative journalism. Projects may receive funding up to €75,000 to cover costs such as trainers’ fees, curriculum development, technical tools, research expenses, and post-production.

Organizations receive funding for professional development initiatives, including workshops, coaching, mentorship, cross-border collaboration, and access to new methodologies and tools. Participants gain advanced skills in environmental investigative reporting and networking opportunities within the journalism community.

Eligible applicants are organizations, including incorporated entities, companies, NGOs, and educational institutions. Multi-member teams of at least two journalists or organizations are encouraged; individuals cannot apply.

Applications are submitted via the Journalismfund Europe portal, outlining project objectives, activities, budget, and expected outcomes.
