Being Initiative Funding 2026

Global funding opportunity led by Grand Challenges Canada to support bold and scalable youth mental health solutions that address root causes, with a focus on prevention and creating supportive environments. It funds research, innovation, and ecosystem-building approaches and includes a Transition to Scale funding stream for initiatives ready to expand. The initiative targets projects operating in 12 eligible countries and is open to a range of organizations, including nonprofits, civil society groups, research institutions, social enterprises, and youth-led organizations.

Funding support (CAD 300,000–1,500,000) to scale interventions; focus on prevention, early intervention, and strengthening environments for youth mental health.

Any legally recognized organization can apply; priority will be given to youth-led organizations based in one of the 12 participating countries.

Submit proposals through Grand Challenges Canada's Fluxx portal by the stated deadline.
