Information

The placement aims to help fellows understand Germany's political and economic reality and to build professional ties with host media. The scholarship provides a monetary grant to cover basic expenses for travel, accommodation and meals during the stay abroad, with some accommodations covered by IJP.

Benefits

A 4,000 euro scholarship; accommodation during the introductory seminar and the mid-term trip through Germany covered by IJP; professional experience as a correspondent; networking with media partners in Berlin and Latin America.

Eligibility

Latin American journalists aged 25-38 with a special interest in Germany; good knowledge of German, with excellent command of English if German is not known.

Application

Submit a single PDF including a motivational letter, three short story pitches, a CV, language certificates, three work samples, a letter of recommendation and story proposals to latino@ijp.org.
