Information

The WAAW Foundation Scholarship is a one-time scholarship for female college students in Africa pursuing STEM-related courses. It supports the recipient to focus on their studies and engage in community activities to promote women’s engagement in STEM. The scholarship is targeted at improving access to STEM education for women in Africa.

one-time scholarship award of $500

Eligibility

Open to female students of African origin who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, study STEM-related courses in Africa, and are in the early years of their program; must demonstrate financial need and leadership/volunteering experience.

Application

The application has four stages: Personal Information, Education, Essays, and two academic reference letters.
