African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) Worldwide 2026

Information

The ACET Young Leaders in Research (YLR) Grant 2026 is a 12-month grant to support early-career African researchers in economics and related fields to lead policy-relevant, context-driven research that advances Africa’s transformation agenda. Recipients receive funding, mentorship, visibility, and professional development support to elevate their research and influence policymaking on the continent. The program includes mentorship from ACET Senior Fellows, opportunities for publication and presentation, and networking events where possible.

Eligibility

Preference will be given to African Nationals or applicants who hold permanent residency in African countries. Applicants should be 35 years old or younger at the time of application, and must have completed or be enrolled in a master’s degree or higher, with a background in economics or a related field.

Submit concept note (max 800 words), statement of purpose (max 500 words), CV, and two academic or professional references.
