DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) in Germany 2026 (University of Leipzig)

The Leipzig DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) offers fully funded PhD scholarships for international candidates, hosted by the Graduate School Global and Area Studies (GSGAS) at Leipzig University with support from DAAD. Selected applicants receive a monthly stipend, health and liability insurance, and research allowances for up to 48 months. The programme focuses on global, transregional, or transnational studies and requires a Master’s degree with rigorous academic criteria.

International applicants must not have lived in Germany for more than 15 months and must hold a Master’s degree (completed within the past six years).
