Information

The Harrison Middleton University Fellowship in Ideas 2026 is a nine-month writing and discussion project in the humanities for a recent university graduate. It offers exposure to the history of ideas in Western civilization, networking with academics and thinkers, and credited authorship in two university publications. The fellow will participate in virtual Socratic discussions, contribute blog entries, publish a book review, and receive a stipend and publications as part of the program.

Benefits

A $500 stipend, online publication in HMU Blog and HMU: Dialogues, and a complimentary set of three Great Books Foundation publications after the fellowship.

Eligibility

Recent university graduates with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree and an interest in the humanities.

Application

Submit a completed application form, a biographical statement (up to 500 words), and an expository essay (up to 1500 words) with a works cited page.
