Information

The HMU Fellowship in Ideas is a nine-month writing and discussion project in the humanities designed for a recent university graduate from any field with an interest in humanities, interdisciplinary dialogue, and intellectual and professional enrichment. Fellows participate in virtual Socratic discussions, contribute to HMU publications, and publish a book review, with a stipend and ongoing professional opportunity throughout the term.

Benefits

Stipend of $500; participation in virtual discussions; publications in HMU Blog and HMU: Dialogues; complimentary set of three Great Books Foundation publications after the fellowship.

Eligibility

Open to recent university graduates with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree, who have an interest in the humanities and strong reading, writing, and communication abilities.

Application

Submit a completed application form, a biographical statement (≤500 words), and an expository essay (≤1500 words) with works cited; email attachments to Information@hmu.edu by November 15, 2024; shortlisted candidates will have a Zoom interview.
