Chief S.L. Edu Memorial PhD Research Grant 2026

The Chief S.L. Edu Memorial PhD Research Grant 2026 invites Nigerian-eligible applicants to conduct PhD research in natural sciences, social sciences, environmental law, and related fields. The grant aims to promote sustainable natural resource management in Nigeria and support research on habitat restoration, resource management, climate resilience, and biodiversity conservation. The theme for 2026 is “Restoring Ecosystems and Strengthening Climate Resilience for Sustainable Development in Nigeria.”

Citizenship in Nigeria; must hold an M.Sc. degree in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, or Environmental Law; must have been admitted to a Ph.D. program in a Nigerian university; must submit a research proposal aligned with the theme.

Submit: a progress report from Ph.D. supervisor, a 200-word justification, a 3,000-word project proposal, an up-to-date CV (max two pages), and a scanned Ph.D. admission letter. Paper applications are not considered.
