John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships Stanford, California, United States 2027

Information

The John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships offer journalists a nine-month fellowship at Stanford University to reimagine the future of journalism. Fellows pursue a self-chosen focus, participate in leadership and resilience development, and join a global cohort of journalists. The program provides a stipend, access to Stanford resources, and housing and health coverage as part of the package.

Benefits

A $130,000 stipend, Stanford tuition and health insurance for fellows, health supplement for dependents, access to Stanford resources, coaching, workshops, and a lifelong alumni network.

Eligibility

Applicants must have at least five years of professional work experience. A college degree is not required, and student or internship experience does not count toward the five-year threshold; if not a full-time journalist, the majority of work should be in journalism.

Application

Submit an online application form with career questions, a one-minute selfie video, resume, work sample, and references; additional materials as requested.

Always verify details on the official website before applying. Found an error? Tell us.
