Arts Journalism Matters Fellowship

The Arts Journalism Matters Fellowship is a programme for emerging arts journalists, organized by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) in cooperation with ENCATC. The 2024 edition, Hybrid Virtual x Prague, runs with a virtual component and an on-site segment in Prague, Czech Republic, where two selected participants will cover an on-site event and maintain a weekly online diary during the residency.

Participation in a hybrid fellowship with an on-site assignment in Prague and ongoing documentation of progress via a weekly diary; exposure to arts journalism and related networks.

Emerging arts journalists from any of the 51 ASEM member countries, based in Prague, Czech Republic, with up to three years of experience in journalism in the arts and culture sector and strong English language skills.

Submit an application by the deadline; the selection selects two participants for the on-site residency.
