European Volunteering Capital Competition 2028

The European Volunteering Capital Competition promotes the visibility and recognition of volunteer support policies and aims to enhance local volunteering in line with the European context. It invites municipalities to apply to become the European Volunteering Capital, recognizing and sharing best practices in volunteering policy and activity. Eligible applicants are municipalities from member states of the Council of Europe.

Opportunities to receive funding for hosting and sending volunteers, and to participate in a study visit for members of the European Volunteering Capital Candidates Community; potential to liaise with the CEV secretariat to consider hosting of a CEV event and to organize related initiatives.

Municipalities of any size from a member state of the Council of Europe.

Municipalities apply to become the European Volunteering Capital and may receive funding and opportunities as part of the programme.
