Information

The Young European Heritage Makers competition invites children and teenagers to explore, reflect on, and creatively express what heritage means to them through arts-based submissions. Entries can be drawings, photos, paintings, or videos (for teens), accompanied by a text description written by the young participants. Winners will have a chance to present their ideas at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, with prizes including a trip to Strasbourg for teens and a national celebration for younger children.

Benefits

For ages 11–17: trip to Strasbourg in May 2026 for the exhibition and visit; ages 6–11 receive a goodie bag and participate in the national celebration.

Eligibility

Open to children aged 6–11 (individual entries) and teenagers aged 11–17 (groups of 2–4 participants) from the listed participating countries.

Application

Submit drawings, photos, or paintings (or videos for teens) with a text description written by the young participants.
