UNOPS Blueing the Black Sea Eco-Innovation Challenge 2025

The Eco-Innovation Challenge (EIC) is part of the Blueing the Black Sea (BBSEA) project and invites innovators to submit solutions addressing pollution in the Black Sea. It provides funding and guidance to help move promising ideas toward action, with two funding windows available for applicants. The competition targets a range of stakeholders, including individuals, companies, NGOs, universities and research institutions from World Bank-eligible countries.

Grants of USD 50,000–$300,000 with technical assistance for the BBSEA Focus Country Window; in-kind technical assistance valued up to USD $20,000 for the Greater Black Sea Window.

Open to individuals, companies, organizations, startups, NGOs, universities, and research institutions from any World Bank-eligible country.

Submit an Expression of Interest via email to BBSEA.EIC@unops.org with the subject line 'EOI for the Eco-Innovation Challenge'. Annex A application form is strongly recommended but any clear format addressing required components is acceptable.
