The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young Africans is a fully funded professional and leadership development programme for young African leaders. It combines a six-week Leadership Institute in the United States with a concluding Summit in Washington, D.C., and an optional four-week Professional Development Experience at a U.S. NGO, business, or government agency. The fellowship supports leadership development in three tracks: Leadership in Business, Civic Engagement, and Public Management, with extensive networking and alumni opportunities.

Eligibility
