The Fulbright Research Awards for African Scholars is a fully funded fellowship for African university faculty, administrators, and research institute professionals to undertake advanced research or curriculum development at leading United States host institutions during the 2027–2028 academic year. Selected scholars receive a funding package covering travel, research stay, and academic engagement for a period of three to nine months, plus opportunities for mentorship and professional networking. The program supports research and curriculum development across all academic disciplines and includes potential pathways such as visiting-host opportunities at partner institutions.
