The Education Beyond Borders Postgraduate Scholarship is offered by the University of Edinburgh to support students with refugee or protection-based immigration status. It is available for eligible full-time postgraduate taught (Master’s) programmes starting in September 2026 and aims to reduce financial barriers to higher education for displaced students. The award can cover part or all of UK Home tuition fees and a full or partial living stipend aligned with the UKRI minimum level.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold one of the following immigration statuses: Asylum Seeker; Refugee status (not including indefinite leave to remain); Humanitarian Protection; Limited leave to remain on the grounds of seeking protection; or Leave under a resettlement Scheme. Applicants must also meet the academic entry requirements of their chosen degree programme.
