Information

The International Education Fee Scholarship is financial aid offered by the University of Houston to undergraduate and graduate students to participate in approved study abroad programs. Eligible learning abroad programs may include faculty-led programs, reciprocal exchanges, third-party provider programs, internships, academic conferences, and volunteer activities abroad. The award amount is variable and is disclosed at the discretion of the university. Students may receive the scholarship only once.

Eligibility

Undergraduate applicants: minimum of 12 UH credit hours and a minimum GPA of 2.5. Graduate applicants: minimum of 9 UH credit hours and a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must be in good academic standing, classified as an international student (open to all except US nationals). First-semester and new transfer students are not eligible during their first semester unless the student completed an undergraduate program at UH. Students may receive the scholarship only once.

Application

Submit the scholarship application via the UH ViaTRM website including an essay; request one university faculty or staff member to submit a letter of recommendation through ViaTRM.
