Mitacs Globalink Research Award – International Students to Canada

The Mitacs Globalink Research Award is a competitive Canadian mobility programme that funds international senior undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral researchers to undertake research placements at Canadian universities. Awards support research stays of 12 to 48 weeks and cover costs associated with a research placement in Canada. Applicants must identify a Canadian supervisor willing to host the placement before applying. The programme accepts proposals across all academic disciplines.

CAD 6,000 grant for a 12–48 week research placement; support for travel, accommodation and living expenses; placement with a Canadian university supervisor.

Open to senior undergraduate (final-year), masters, doctoral and postdoctoral applicants who are enrolled full-time at an eligible international institution, are legal adults (18+), and who will not conduct research in a country where they hold citizenship. The programme is open to all countries except Russia and North Korea.

Applicants identify a willing Canadian supervisor and submit the application on the provider's official website.
